HOPKINTON, N.H. – Senior
Jasmine Trott qualified for the NCAA Cross Country Championships with her top 10 performance in the NCAA Northeast Regional women's 6k. Trott is the first athlete in program history to qualify for nationals. Under the leadership of head coach
Maggie Fox, all seven runners representing Bryant women's cross country achieved personal records and earned 11
th place, the best finish in program history at regionals.
Jasmine Trott and
Chloe Whiting were the top two America East runners in the regional. Trott finished in eighth place with a 20:13.7 time and Whiting finished with a time of 20:41.9.
Kelley MacElhiney earned a spot in the top 100 with a time of 21:28.8.
Justin Shiffrin led the men's team in the 10k meet. Shiffrin finished with a time of 31:49.5.
Aiden Masse finished narrowly behind Shiffrin, finishing with a time of 31:35.0. The men's squad finished the regional in 32
nd place.
