HOPKINTON, N.H. – The Bryant University Cross Country team is set to compete at the America East Championships in Hopkinton, New Hampshire at the Hopkinton State Fairgrounds on Friday Oct. 31. The men's 8k will start at 11:00 a.m. and the women's 5k will start at 12:00 p.m.
The senior from Garforth,
Jasmine Trott will be continuing to make a name for herself this Friday. Trott started the campaign hot with a win at the Shawn M. Nassaney Invitational, followed up by a third-place finish at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational 6k and even better times in the Paul Short Run and Pre-National Invitational. Her personal record in the 5k was set on Oct. 12, 2024, in the NEICAAA Cross Country Championship with a time of 17:14.
Chloe Whiting, the senior from Randolph, New Jersey, is another name to watch out for in the America East Championships. Whiting started the season hot with a win at the Shawn M. Nassaney Invitational and followed that up with performances in the UMass Dartmouth Invitational and the Paul Short Run. Her personal record in the 5k was set on Nov. 2, 2024, in the America East Cross Country Championships with a time of 17:29.9. Whiting and Trott both finished in the top four in last year's championship.
Aiden Masse, the senior from Norton, Massachusetts, started the 2025 season with a top 10 placement in the Shawn M. Nassaney Invitational. Masse followed that up with a 78
th place finish in the UMass Dartmouth Invitational and back-to-back top 50 placements in the Paul Short Run and the Vermont Fall Foliage Invitational. Masse earned a personal best in the Paul Short Run, getting a 25:22.2 in the 8k.
Andrew McConnell, the sophomore from Norton, New Hampshire, started the 2025 season with a 14
th place finish in the Shawn M. Nassaney Invitational. McConnell additionally ran in the UMass Dartmouth Invitational and earned a personal best in the Paul Short Run after getting 43
rd place with a time of 25:30.3.
