BOSTON - The Bryant University women's cross country team had three student-athletes earn 2025 America East All-Conference honors, which were announced following the America East Cross Country Championships on Friday afternoon.
Kelley MacElhiney earned second-team All Conference honors while
Jasmine Trott and
Chloe Whiting earned first-team All-Conference for the efforts in the 2025 season.
MacElhiney, a junior, competed in six meets for the Bulldogs this season. MacElhiney started her season with a 12th place finish in the Shawn M. Nassaney Invitational. MacElhiney followed that up with back-to-back personal records in the 6k at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational and the Paul Short Run. She pushed further with an 11th place performance in the Vermont Fall Foliage Invitational. MacElhiney followed that up with a personal record in the 3k Rothenberg Run, finishing the highest on her team with a 10:41 time in fifth place overall. After all of this momentum, MacElhiney smashed her personal record in the 5k by nearly over a minute to finish the America East Cross Country Championship in ninth place with a time of 17:50.3.
Whiting, a senior, competed in four meets for the Bulldogs this season. Whiting started her season with a win at the Nassaney Invitational with a time of 17:54.2 running along side
Jasmine Trott. Whiting followed that up with a 20th place performance in the UMass Dartmouth Invitational. Two weeks later she shaved off nearly a minute in the Paul Short Run. Whiting smashed her personal record by 20 seconds in the 5k to finish the America East Cross Country Championship in second place with a time of 17:09.3.
Jasmine Trott, a senior, competed in five meets for the Bulldogs this season. Trott started her season with a win at Nassaney with a time of 17:54.2, running alongside
Chloe Whiting to help navigate the Bulldogs to a win at the invitational hosted in Bryant's backyard. Trott continued to put her foot on the hypothetical gas pedal as she finished the UMass Dartmouth Invitational in third place. She proceeded to smash that time by nearly a minute in the Paul Short Run. Trott followed that up by representing the program at the national level in the Missouri Pre-National Invitational. With each year Trott incrementally climbed the rankings in the annual America East Cross Country Championships. That effort and hard work paid off in the form of a 17:02.6, shattering her personal best in the 5k and taking home the gold at the America East Cross Country Championships. Trott was named the women's individual champion of the afternoon.Â
These three Bulldogs are strong candidates to make a big run in the NCAA Northeast Regional on Friday, Nov. 14, 2025. For more information on Bryant University cross country and everything both on the track and on the field, follow our pageÂ
