SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Bryant University swimming and diving alumnae
Natalia Kuipers recently qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympics, representing her home country of U.S. Virgin Islands.
Kuipers will be competing in her second Olympic games, having qualified for the Tokyo Olympics. She and fellow Bryant swimming and diving alum Ben Schulte are the only two Bryant student-athletes to represent the school at the Olympics in the last 15 years.
A native of St. Croix, Kuipers began her freshman year at Bryant in 2020-21. She competed in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, swimming in the 400 free. Kuipers would go on to win a pair of medals and CSC Academic All-District Team honors during her Bryant career. Kuipers will once again compete in the 400 free at the Paris Olympics this summer.
Schulte '18 competed for Guam in both the 2012 London Olympics and the 2016 Rio Olympics. He was chosen as the countries flag bearer for the 2016 opening ceremonies.
