Box Score SMITHFIELD, R.I. – In the regular season finale, Sam Rohwer of the Bryant University softball team hit a two-run home run in the 7-4 home victory against UMBC.
The Black and Gold reached 32 wins, which ties the DI program record for wins set in 2014.

- In the bottom of the fifth, Rohwer hit a pinch-hit two-run HR to give the Bulldogs a three-run lead.
How it Happened
- At the top of the second, UMBC hit a two-run home run (2-0).
- Hannah Cochran hit a leadoff single, followed by Megan Marcel reaching on an error, allowing Cochran to advance to third. McKenzie McAloon hit a single up the middle, scoring one (2-1). Faith Valenzuela then hit a ball to the shortstop, who threw home, but the runner was safe, tying the game at two.
- The Bulldogs took the lead in the same inning on a fielder's choice (3-2). The fourth run of the second inning was scored off of a sac fly from Alexis Clancy (4-2).
- UMBC scored a third run on a single in the top of the third (4-3).
- In the top of the fourth, the Retrievers tied the game on a sacrifice fly (4-4).
- Clancy and Cochran hit singles in the bottom of the fifth inning. Clancy then scored off of a groundout (5-4). Rohwer entered as a pinch hitter and launched a two-run home run over the left field wall (7-4).
