Women's Swim and Dive Wins The Gompei Invitational

WORCESTER, MA -- The Bryant University women's swimming and diving team competed in WPI's Gompei Invitational this weekend, in Worcester Massachusetts.

The Black and Gold secured the win scoring a total of 4019.5 points.

Notes and Notables:

Elayna Pistrin took first in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:18.87.
Amanda Witkus grabbed first in the 100 Yard Butterfly with a time of 55.51 before taking first in the 200 Yard IM at 2:02.90. Witkus went on to break the 200 Fly record with a 2:00.60 for the second time.
Marcella Figueroa grabbed second place in the 50-yard Freestyle at 24.06.
Makayla Pearce took second in the 500 Yard Freestyle at 4:57.57.
In the 100 Yard Backstroke, Jacqui Fox swam a 56.58.
The women's 200 Yard Medley Relay (Steen, Pistrin, Doersch, Figueroa) took first place at 1:44.14.
Charles LeGallais and Jill Carline went two and three in the 100 Yard Freestyle (52.33 and 52.38).
