SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University women's swimming and diving team used a strong showing on day two to earn a third-place finish at the Harold Anderson Invitational hosted by Rhode Island.

The Bulldogs finished tied for third with Assumption with 565 points. Rhode Island won the meet with a score of 1,033.

Jamie Schaefer (Durham, N.C.) earned a top-10 finish in the 400 IM with a time of 59.81. Erin Daly (Reading, Mass.) finished eighth in the 200 free with a time of 1:57.90. Julia Messina (Canandaigua, N.Y.) finished fifth with a time of 1:07.71. Alexandra Morreale (Short Hills, N.J.) earned a ninth-place finish with a time of 1:09.35. Lauren Doerrman (Oley, Pa.) led the way with a fourth-place finish in the 400 IM (4:45.72).

Nicole Salzano (Elmwood Park, N.J.) added a fifth-place finish in the 100 back and Elisabeth Schauer (Pelham, N.Y.) earned a ninth-place finish.
