BULLDOGS DEFEAT THE FRIARS BIG ON HALLOWEEN NIGHT

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University women's swimming and diving team turned Halloween night into a showcase of dominance, defeating Providence College 219–81 at the Chace Athletic Center Pool.

Coach Lettie's Comments on the Win:
"The full team showed up, men and women", Coach Lettie said.

 "The energy was unmatched, and having the marching band and dance team on deck made it an experience you just don't see anywhere else. Nights like this remind us how special this program is — the pride, the grit, the unity. Our team raced for each other, and the result speaks for itself."

The Bulldogs controlled the meet from the opening relay, sweeping first through third in several events and earning first-place finishes in nearly every race.

Bryant opened the night with a commanding win in the 400 medley relay, where Jacqui Fox, Jocie Niemczyk, Ruby Tonelli, and Marcella Figueroa set the tone early for what would become a lopsided meet.(3:55.69)

On the boards, Megan Beasley highlighted the Bulldogs' diving efforts, sweeping both the one- and three-meter events. (290.45)

3-Meter Diving: In the pool, Niemczyk continued her standout form with victories in the 200 freestyle and 200 individual medley, while Tonelli dominated the butterfly events, winning both the 200 and 100. Clara Steen picked up another first-place finish in the 100 backstroke, and Kaitlyn Archambeault added wins in the 100 and 200 breaststroke events.

 Figueroa, Addison Abreu  and Sophia Doersch swept the 50 freestyle, and Abreu later led another 1-2-3 finish in the 100 freestyle, joined by Steen and Jill Carline.
50 Freestyle: 100 Freestyle:  
Makayla Pearce and Anna Jacckon finished first and second in the 1000 freestyle, adding to the Bulldogs' series of wins.
1000 Freestyle:  
Bryant closed the meet with a dominant performance in the 200 freestyle relay, where the Bulldogs placed first and second.

With the victory, Bryant improves to 4-0 in and continues to show its strength heading into November's competition.
