SMITHFIELD, R.I. - Bryant has always featured elite running backs and the 2026 Bulldogs will have a lot of depth in the backfield this season with a mix of senior transfers and returners.
Today's running backs preview is the second of eight positional previews as the Bulldogs will kick off the 2026 season at Stonehill on August 29th.
Quick Outlook
The Black and Gold will be looking to replace the production of
Elijah Elliott from last season. In his lone year with the Bulldogs, Elliott tallied 805 rushing yards and 380 receiving yards (1,185 all-purpose) and 14 total touchdowns (12 rush, 2 rec). His mark of 14 total TDs was the fourth most in DI program history, and his 12 rushing TDs are the third most in DI program history. Elliott earned a spot on the All-CAA Second Team. Bryant averaged 121 rushing yards per game, which was the highest total since 2021.

Notes and Notables
- Ross comes to Bryant from LIU where he recorded 852 yards on the ground last season and produced three games of 100+ rushing yards.
- He had a season-high 172 rushing yards against New Haven.
- Agenor joined the Bulldogs after playing at California PA. In 13 games last year, he recorded 975 rushing yards and nine scores. Agenor tallied four 100-yard games on the ground and had a career day against Gannon, registering 153 yards and three scores.
- He added 273 receiving yards and a touchdown.
- Jenkins finished his high school career at Bishop Verot, posting 4,899 rushing yards and 56 rushing touchdowns.
- Bennet signed with the Black and Gold after playing at Army Prep.
- O'Brien heads into his senior year, while Jefferies and Campbell will begin their sophomore season in 2026.
