POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – A seven-run second inning lifted Marist to a 9-2 victory and a doubleheader sweep of the Bryant baseball team on Friday afternoon at McCann Field.
With the loss, the Bulldogs conclude the regular season with a 27-24 overall record. Brynat will now set its sight on the 2026 America East Baseball Championships that begin on Wednesday in Vestal, N.Y. The Bulldogs will serve as the No. 4 seed and play in a single-elimination contest against either UMass Lowell or UAlbany at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
Marist scored seven runs on six hits in the decisive second inning. Six Red Fox relievers combined to limit the Bulldogs to just four singles.
