Key Moment
  • Bryant sent nine men to the plate and scored six runs in the first inning.
How it Happened
  • Bryant sent nine men to the plate and scored six times in the bottom of the first on Friday. Three of the first four batters walked and Saul brought in the first run with a single to left center. Fiatarone fell behind 0-2 before working a bases-loaded walk and Irizarry followed with a single through the left side to make it 3-0.
  • Durand then hit a ground ball to deep short and beat out the potential double play at first to score a run. The throw sailed away, allowing a second run to score. Durand then stole third and scored as the throw went into left, giving Bryant a 6-0 lead.
  • UAlbany got a run back in the second after Levi McAlister's high pop to left field dropped for a double. Brian Guerrero plated McAlister with a two-out single.
  • The Bulldogs answered as Kingsbury walked, stole second and third and scored on a two-out single from Garcia.
  • Bryant added three more runs in the third to make it 10-2. Two singles and a walk loaded the bases with one out before Greger drew a bases-loaded walk. A sac fly from Kingsbury and a wild pitch plated the final two runs of the inning.
  • UAlbany was able to chase Kaden Hilburger in the fourth, loading the bases with one out. Sean Zaslaw limited the damage to one run with a fielder's choice and a strikeout.
  • Garcia answered in the bottom of the inning, launching his sixth home run of the season down the left field line to make it 11-3.
  • Jaxon Mueller brought UAlbany closer with a two-run home run to left center in the fifth (11-5).
  • Durand and Hackett answered with back-to-back home runs to open the bottom of the fifth to push Bryant's lead back to 13-5. An errant pickoff attempt would plate a third run in the fifth for the Bulldogs.
  • In the seventh, Hackett crushed a 1-0 pitch 402 feet to left field for a run-rule walk-off home run.
