BOSTON, MASS. - Maddy Wachter of the Bryant University softball team was named the America East Pitcher of the Week by the organization on Tuesday afternoon.

Wachter went 3-0 this week, throwing three complete games and producing a 2.21 ERA. She held opponents to six earned runs and had ten strikeouts. In the America East opening series, Wachter went 2-0 with a 2.92 ERA and six strikeouts, throwing two complete games to help the Bulldogs take two-of-three from UAlbany.

Wachter has tied her career high this season with seven complete games, which is tied for the most in the conference. She has produced a 3.16 ERA, ranking second, and is holding opponents to a .246 batting average. 

This is the second time in her career she has earned AE Pitcher of the Week.
