Maddy Wachter of the Bryant University softball team recorded her fifth complete game of the season in the 4-1 victory over Yale in the home opener on Wednesday.

- In the bottom of the first inning, Bryce Clendenin was hit by a pitch and then advanced to second, leading to an RBI single through the right side for Teagan Thompson (1-0).
- Yale tied the game in the top of the fourth on an RBI double (1-1).
- Alana Garcia hit a two-out double in the bottom of the fourth, and then Alissa West knocked a pinch-hit RBI single to right field (2-1).
- Laniya Lewis tallied a double, and then Arriana Williams hit an infield single to score Lewis (3-1). Williams then stole third base, leading to an RBI single up the middle for Clendenin (4-1) in the bottom of the fifth.
