LEE HITS WALK OFF AGAINST ACU AS BULLDOGS SPLIT AT DAY 1 OF AGGIE CLASSIC

COLLEGE STATION, TX. – Jaelynn Lee of the Bryant University softball team hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh against Abilene Christian for a 2-1 victory in game one of the Aggie Classic.
 
Brooke Tracy threw a complete game, holding ACU to one run and three hits.
 
The Bulldogs fell in the second game against Providence 1-0.

  • Two runners reached in the bottom of the seventh and were advanced on a ground out, leading to a walk-off single from Lee.
How it Happened (GM1)
  • Arianna Williams drew a one-out walk, which was followed by Jaelynn Lee being hit by a pitch. Laniya Lewis then grounded to the shortstop, bringing home Williams in the bottom of the third (1-0).
  • In the following inning, the Wildcats tied the game at one on a wild pitch (1-1).
  • Ella Kolenko hit a lead-off single to center field, and Jaiden McKenna reached on an error, putting two runners on with no outs. Williams grounded out, advancing the runners, which led to a Jaelynn Lee walk-off single to left field, giving Bryant the 2-1 victory.
