ALBANY, N.Y. – The Bryant University women's basketball team defeated UAlbany 50-44 in New York for their first win at Albany in DI program history.
Izzy Adams was the top scorer for the Bulldogs, tallying 13 points all in the second half.
Maranda Nyborg posted 12 points, scoring six in the final quarter.

- UAlbany cut the lead to two halfway through the third quarter (26-24) and then Adams hit three consecutive from beyond the arc along with a Nia Scott free throw, bringing the lead to 36-39 heading into the fourth.
How it Happened
- The Bulldogs jumped out to an 8-0 run to start the game, Mimi Rubino and Mia Mancini hit three-pointers back-to-back, which was followed by a Nia Scott bucket, forcing a Great Danes timeout at the 6:19 mark of the first quarter.
- UAlbany closed the quarter on a 9-5 run (13-9). Rubino hit her second three-pointer of the quarter.
- The Great Danes outscored Bryant 7-5 in the first five minutes of the second quarter, resulting in a two-point lead for the Bulldogs (18-16). Rubino knocked down her third from deep, and Maranda Nyborg made a tough basket going to the right through contact.
- The Black and Gold ended the first half on a 6-1 run, behind buckets from Abbey Lindsey and four points from Rose Nelson in the paint, giving Bryant a seven-point advantage (24-17) at the half.
- UAlbany produced a 5-2 run, creating a five-point lead (26-19) for Bryant at the media timeout in the third quarter with 4:32 left in the third quarter.
- The Great Danes would score five straight, before Izzy Adams hit back-to-back corner threes (32-24), forcing a UAlbany timeout with 2:49 remaining in the quarter.
- The Bulldogs would score four more points for the remainder of the quarter, including Adams with her third triple of the quarter. The Great Danes tallied five, giving Bryant a 36-29 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
- The game went back and forth with the Great Danes posting nine and the Bulldogs tallying eight points, giving the Black and Gold a six-point lead with two minutes left in the game (44-38).
- UAlbany would hit a three-pointer, shrinking the lead to three, and Nyborg countered on the next possession, nailing a mid-range jumper with a little over a minute remaining (46-41).
- The Bulldogs would tally four more points, and UAlbany scored three, giving Bryant the 50-44 road victory.
