BRYANT HOSTS NJIT ON SATURDAY (4PM)

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant men's basketball team welcomes NJIT to the Chace Athletic Center for the final regular season home game on Saturday afternoon. Tip is set for 4:00 p.m.

Bryant will celebrate Senior Day prior to the game, honoring the contributions of Jakai Robinson, Keegan Harvey, Lennart Weber and Quincy Allen.

FIRST TIME OUT VS NJIT

  • NJIT scored 50 second-half points to run away with a 79-55 victory over Bryant on Martin Luther King Jr.Day.
  • The Bulldogs battled in the first half despite foul trouble from both Timofei Rudovskii and Aaron Davis III. The duo played just 27 and 24 minutes, respectively and combined for 5-of-21 shooting.
  • NJIT, however went 9-of-15 from three in the final 20 minutes to earn their first win over Bryant since Jan. 21, 2009.
  • Sebastian Robinson led NJIT with 22 points, while David Bolden had 17 on 5-of-9 shooting from three.

BULLDOGS FALL TO UMBC ON THURSDAY NIGHT

  • Bryant dropped its fourth-straight game, falling to UMBC on Thursday night, 70-58, in Baltimore.
  • The Bulldogs led 41-40 with 14:00 remaining but the first-place Retrievers were too much down the stretch.
  • Keegan Harvey paced Bryant with 19 points.
HARVEY TIME
  • Keegan Harvey has enjoyed an incredible stretch for the Bulldogs and enters Saturday averaging 12.9 ppg and 5.4 rpg in America East play.
  • He has produced three 20-point games in league play and has scored in double figures in 10 of his last 11 games.

FIVE MORE THINGS TO KNOW

  • Aaron Davis III leads Bryant with 12.9 ppg in America East play. He is shooting a team-best 37 percent from three on the year, having averaged 2.4 3pFG per game in league play. Davis is now 49-of-126 from three over his last 18 games. He has made three or more 3pFG in 11 of those 18 contests.
  • Keegan Harvey has posted double figures in 10 of the last 11 games and is 69-of-115 (61 percent) from the field over his last 15 games. Over his last five, Harvey is averaging 17.8 ppg and is 27-of-42 (64 percent) from the field, 7-of-13 (54 percent) from three and 28-of-34 (82 percent) from the line.
  • Ty Tabales matched his career high in steals with four on Thursday night at UMBC. He is averaging 9.0 ppg on the season.
  • Timofei Rudovskii snapped a two-game scoreless stretch with 14 points on Thursday night. He is tied with Davis and Harvey for the team leading in AE play with 12.9 ppg. Thursday marked his 22nd double-digit scoring effort, tying him with Alex Francis for the most by a freshmen in a single season in DI program history.
  • Bryant is currently 7-5 at home this season and is 79-28 at home since the start of the 2018-19 season.
A BIT ABOUT NJIT
  • NJIT enters Saturday at 15-14 overall and 10-4 in the America East.
  • The Highlanders still have a chance to claim the league's top seed but will need to win Saturday and defeat first place UMBC on Tuesday.
  • NJIT did not play on Thursday night and dropped a pair of games to UAlbany and Vermont last week.
  • This is the Highlanders' best season since joining the America East, with their 10 league wins a school record.
  • Sebastian Robinson headlines NJIT, averaging 14.5 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 2.3 apg and 1.1 spg. He averages 18.4 ppg in league play.
