BOSTON - The Bryant University men's lacrosse team has earned two America East weekly awards as announced by the organization this afternoon.
James Carr was announced as the America East Goalkeeper of the Week. Carr tied the all-time school record for most saves in an individual game. Carr recorded 20 saves in one afternoon against Quinnipiac while recording a save percentage of 74.1%. 2022 was the last time a Bryant student-athlete made 20 saves (Luke Caracciolo vs LIU, 4/2/22).
Caden Lennon was named as the America East Rookie of the Week. After scoring his first two career goals against Merrimack the previous week, Lennon followed up with a four-goal performance and added a ground ball.
These are the first Player of the Week honors for the Bulldogs this season.
The Black and Gold will embark on a three-game stretch of road games this Saturday, Feb. 28, at Brown.
