SMITHFIELD – R.I. – The Bryant University men's lacrosse team fell short to the Merrimack Warriors on a cold day at Beirne Stadium, 13-6.
Bryant returns to Beirne to face off against Quinnipiac next Saturday, Feb. 21. The Black and Gold currently have a record of 0-2.

- Merrimack used a seven-goal fourth quarter to put the game away.
How it Happened:
- Merrimack opened the game with two goals in the opening minute.
- Bryant battled back, tying the game at 3-3 as Amend netted a pair. He sandwiched those around the first-career goal from Caden Lennon.
- Merrimack's Finn Dougherty would make it 4-3 with just 1:35 left in the first half and the Warriors took the lead to the break.
- The Warriors would take a 6-4 lead to the fourth after a low-scoring third quarter. Max Dantona netted Bryant's lone goal of the quarter.
- Merrimack then opened the fourth quarter with back-to-back goals in the first four minutes.
- Amend put a brief pause on the run with his third of the game but the Warriors responded with three goals within three minutes of each other to take an 11-5 lead with 5:44 left.
- Dawson Rielly found the back of the net with 3:07 left but the Warriors added two more to close it out.
