BRENTWOOD, Tenn. — Following a historic performance at The Metropolis Intercollegiate from Oct. 12-13,
Chad Correia has been named Ohio Valley Conference Golfer of the Week, the league announced Thursday.
Correia won the tournament's individual championship, finishing first out of 69 golfers at Metropolis Country Club with a two-over-par total.
The Norton, Massachusetts, native carded a program-record, course-record-tying and bogey-free 63 (-7) in the second round.
Correia additionally registered a 71 (+1) and 78 (+8) in the first and third rounds.
The junior has put together a strong fall campaign, previously shooting one-over-par to finish tied for fifth in the UConn Invitational from Sept. 27-29.
Bryant concludes its fall season at the Nassau Invitational at Nassau Country Club in Glen Cove, New York from Oct. 19-20.
