SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant women's volleyball team were swept by the Stony Brook Seawolves on Sunday afternoon on the final day of the Bryant Invitational.
Brookelyn Talmadge was selected to the All-Tournament team. Her defense shined as she recorded 9 block assists over the three games, including six against Army.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- SET 1 – Bryant jumped out to an 8-5 lead in the first set as Arianna Ugolini tallied a pair of kills. Stony Brook responded with a 9-2 run to take the 14-10 lead. The Bulldogs countered as Arianna Ugolini added two more kills, and Ruth Ochelli and Kaitlin Curran each added one to cut the deficit to 17-15. Arianna Ugolini and Natalie Ricevuto each pounded a pair of kills late in the set, but it wasn't enough as the Seawolves polished off the first set 25-21.
- SET 2 – The Bulldogs pulled in front 9-5 early in the second set, Carrina Barron recorded a service ace and Arianna Ugolini and Ruth Ochelli each hammered a kill. The Seawolves countered with an 8-2 run to take the 13-11 lead. The Bulldogs rallied as Kaitlin Curran and Nina Gavin each notched a kill and Arianna Ugolini piled on a pair of kills to tie the score at sixteen a piece. Ruth Ochelli continued to thrive as she tallied two more kills, along with Kaitlin Curran, Nina Gavin, and Brookelyn Talmadge each adding one, but the Seawolves took care of business and won the second set 25-23.
- SET 3 – The Bulldogs trailed 11-8 as Arianna Ugolini and Ruth Ochelli continued to be the focal point of their offense, each chalking up a pair of kills. Bryant received kills from Kaitlin Curran, Brookelyn Talmadge, Natalie Ricevuto, and London Hunt, but they couldn't keep up with Stony Brook however, as they went on a dominant 14-7 run to close out the third set 25-15 and earn the road sweep.
