- The Bulldogs took a one-run lead in the top of the sixth, and then PC scored three runs in the bottom of the inning.
How it Happened (GM1)
- In the bottom of the second inning, the Friars hit a solo home run (1-0).
- PC hit an RBI-double to right-center in the bottom of the third with two outs (2-0).
- McKenzie McAloon hit a leadoff single in the top of the fourth. Faith Valenzuela pinch ran, stole second, and advanced to third on a bunt. Valenzuela was brought home on a sac-bunt (2-1).
- In the top of the fifth, Hannah Cochran hit a double and advanced to third on a wild pitch. Meaghan Houk hit a double to deep center, tying the game at two.
- McAloon hit a leadoff single in the top of the sixth, leading to an RBI-double from Arlisenny Rodríguez to give the Bulldogs the lead (3-2).
- The Friars responded with three runs in the bottom of the sixth to regain the lead (5-3).
- Hannah Cochran drew a walk to begin the top of the seventh, stole second base, and then Makenna Coleman hit an RBI-single to get within one (5-4). The Bulldogs were then caught stealing and struck out to end the game.
