Bulldogs split against UML at Conaty Park on Friday

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – On Friday, the Bryant University softball team split against UMass Lowell at Conaty Park.

Lexi Powell pitched five innings of relief, striking out four and giving up one run in the game two victory. Bryce Clendenin had three hits, including the go-ahead RBI-single.

Sam Rohwer had a solo home run with three hits, and Jaelynn Lee tallied a career-high four hits and two RBIs in game one.

  • Clendenin hit an RBI single in the bottom of the fifth to break the tie.
How it Happened (GM2)
  • UML hit an RBI single in the top of the first (1-0).
  • At the bottom of the second, Lee was walking, followed by Gracie Bishop and Bryce Clendenin, singles. This led to an RBI for Amira Rainer on a groundout (1-1).
  • The River Hawks regained the lead on a groundout in the top of the third (2-1).
  • Hannah Cochran began the bottom of the inning with a double and was brought home on a Lee single (2-2).
