Anderson and Knott set school records in outdoor opener

CHARLESTON- Shelby Anderson and Kalen Knott both set school records for the Bryant Track and Field team in its outdoor season opener at Charleston Southern.

Anderson reset her all-time program mark in the women's javelin after finishing with a throw of 42.71m. Anderson first broke the school record back on Apr. 22, 2024 at UMass Lowell surpassing an 18 year old record set by Rachel Martinich in 2006.

Knott became the school record holder in the men's outdoor pole vault after clearing 4.60m. He surpassed Nicholas Mirecki's 2024 mark of 4.55m. Knott is coming off a historic indoor season that saw him become the all-time program leader in the indoor pole vault with his best mark of the season being 4.88m. Knott would take home the gold at the 2025 America Indoor Championships.

Bulldogs Notes and Notables:

The Bulldogs finished the meet with two school records, five New England qualifiers, four ECAC qualifiers, and 39 PR's.
Hannah Mcentee moves to second all time in the women's javelin for Bryant after throwing 41.44m
Maggie Fodera threw 31.88m in the women's javelin (10th all-time in program history).
Caitlin Style finished the 100 hurdles in 16.37 (7th all-time)
Panayiota Anastos threw 11.58m in the shot put (9th all-time). She also threw 36.24m in the discus (10th all-time).
Sydney Golas cleared 3.30m in the women's pole vault to move to 7th all-time in school history.
