Shelby DeGrenier wins ECAC 800m Championship

SMITHFIELD, R.I.- Shelby DeGrenier broke the school record in the women's 800m to take home the gold at the 2025 ECAC Indoor Track and Field Championships on Sunday, Mar. 9. DeGrenier finished the race in 2:09.62, becoming the first runner in program history to run a sub 2:10.0 800m. She also became Bryant's first ECAC Champion.

DeGrenier concluded a historic final season with the Black and Gold that saw her become all-time school record holder in 800m and 1,000m. She also helped shatter the program records in the women's distance medley relay and 4x800. DeGrenier was a 3x all-conference selection by the America East after claiming the silver in the 800m and winning gold in the DMR and 4x800m.
