Key Moments

How it Happened
- Bryant opened the scoring with three runs in the second. A dropped fly ball in left allowed Matt D'Amato to reach to start the inning and Hackett followed with a single. Durand then laced an RBI single through the left side to make it 1-0.
- Zac Zyons brought home the second run with a safety squeeze and Noriega made it 3-0 with a double inside the first base bag.
- UCF took advantage of some Bryant defensive miscues to plate two runs in the bottom of the second. A throwing error put runners on first and second with one out. A single to left loaded the bases and the Bulldogs were unable to turn an inning-ending double play, allowing the first run to score. Luke Delongchamp was then called for a balk on a pickoff attempt at first to bring in the second run.
- Kyle Rizy pitched himself into and out of trouble in the third to keep the Bulldogs ahead by one. The Knights put runners on the corners with one out but Rizy battled back to get a big strikeout. He then induced a ground ball to first to strand runners on second and third.
- Bryant added to its lead with solo home runs in the fourth and fifth innings. Durand launched a 2-1 pitch over the Bryant bullpen in left in the fourth and D'Amico sent a 3-2 pitch the other way into the UCF bullpen in right to make it 5-2 in the fifth.
- The Knights rallied with two runs in the bottom of the fifth. A walk and an RBI double to left chased Rizy. Dylan Scudder entered and retired the next two batters before Maduro blooped a 1-2 pitch into shallow right to make it 5-4. A line drive to second ended the rally.
- Bryant quickly answered as Hackett tripled into the right field corner with one out. Durand then lofted a 3-2 pitch into shallow center to score Hackett and make it 6-4.
- The Bulldogs took a 6-4 lead to the ninth but an infield dribbler on a 1-2 pitch started the Knights rally. A double to right moved the runners into scoring position and back-to-back walks forced in the first run. Espinal then laced a 1-0 pitch into left center to score the winning runs.
