FIVE BULLDOGS EARN UNITED SOCCER COACHES DI ALL-NORTHEAST REGION HONORS

KANSAS CITY – Coming off their best Division I season in program history, the Bryant University men's soccer team saw five of their own earn appearances on the 2025 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I Men's All-Northeast Region Teams.

Sophomore Jaime Amaro, junior Paco Fernandez, graduate student Abdel Talabi, fifth year student Tiago Dias and senior Mamadi Jiana each earned spots on All-Northeast Region Teams for their outstanding efforts on the pitch this season.

Jaime Amaro was named to the first team. Amaro appeared in every game for the Black and Gold and earned America East Striker of the Year honors this season. He finished the regular season as the America East leader in goals (10), assists (7), points (27), and game-winning goals (4). Amaro had an eight-game stretch where he averaged a goal per game. That included a stretch in which he scored in four consecutive games against UMass Lowell, UMBC, UAlbany and Brown.

Paco Fernandez was named to the first team. Fernandez appeared in every game for the Black and Gold and earned America East Midfielder of the Year honors this season. Fernandez finished the season with the third most goals scored on the team and the sixth most goals scored in the America East. Fernandez performed well on set-pieces and created opportunities for his teammates, proven by his four assists on the season. Fernandez scored three goals in two games to end the regular season and recorded an assist in the last game of the season for the Black and Gold.

Abdel Talabi was named to the second team. Talabi capped off a brilliant Bryant career as the key target on corner kicks and set pieces, as well as being an anchor for the defense. Talabi started every game for the Bulldogs this season. Talabi recorded three goals and two assists this season for the Black and Gold, including a stretch of back-to-back goals against Brown and Binghamton.

Tiago Dias was named to the second team. Dias started 21 games for the Black and Gold this season. Dias played a pivotal role on Bryant's defense and contributed to the attacking game with five assists on the season, the third most on the team. Dias was part of a defensive front that finished the regular season with 11 shutouts.

Mamadi Jiana was named to the second team. Jiana started 20 games and appeared in 21 for the Black and Gold this season. Jiana was a go-getter for the Black and Gold, attempting the most shots in the America East (30) and recording the second-most shots on goal in the conference (25). Jiana finished the season with the third most goals (7) and points (18) in the America East.
