KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Bryant University men's soccer team earned the No. 3 spot on the NCAA DI rankings according to United Soccer Coaches. The Bulldogs were previously ranked No. 17 in the country on Sept. 9, No. 14 in the country on Sept. 23 and No. 5 in the country on Tuesday, Sept. 30.
The campaign for the Black and Gold continued with a win on the road against the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, 2-1. The Bulldogs continue to execute at a high level as their win streak extends to 10. The Bulldogs are 2-0 in the America East.
The Black and Gold defense have only allowed five goals through 11 games. Additionally, the Bulldogs have averaged two goals per game.
Jaime Amaro leads the America East in goals and points. Amaro has seven goals and two assists.
Mamadi Jiana is tied for third in the conference with his four goals.
Marc Pitarch Bayot is tied for the lead for most assists in the conference with four.
Enzo Carvalho has the highest save percentage in the America East. Carvalho had a clean sheet in half of his starts. The nation's longest winning streak has been extended to 10.
The highest ranked Bryant program will be back at Beirne Stadium on Friday, Oct. 10 at 3:00 p.m. against the University at Albany. The Black and Gold are tied for first in the America East standings with No. 2 Vermont.
