SMITHFIELD, R.I. –
Paco Fernandez's heroics lifted the No. 7 Bryant University men's soccer team past NJIT at home on Friday, as the Bulldogs earned a bounce-back win in America East play, 2-1.
Fernandez's first goal was the apex of team effort as five different players made contact with the ball on the play resulting in the goal, while his second in the 72nd minute sealed it.
The Bulldogs are 14-1-2 overall and 5-1 in the America East and will close out the regular season on Tuesday (Nov. 4) night at New Hampshire. Friday's victory also secured the Black and Gold a top two seed in the America East Championship.
