JIANA EARNS AMERICA EAST OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONORS

BOSTON - Mamadi Jiana of the Bryant University men's soccer team was announced as the America East Offensive Player of the Week by the organization this morning.

Mamadi Jiana scored a goal and an assist in Friday's game against UAlbany. The talented forward has five goals on the season and three assists. Jiana has the second most goals scored for the Bulldogs and in the conference and second most points on the team. Additionally, Jiana is second in the America East in shots on the season so far with 37, averaging three per game. Not only is there a large volume of shots taken but shots on goal as well as Jiana is second in the conference in shots on goal with 17. 

This is Jiana's first Player of the Week honor this season and of his Bulldog career. 

The Black and Gold look to complete the Ocean State Gauntlet tomorrow in the game against Brown University in Providence. The Bulldogs are beginning their stretch of road games in and out of the conference. Following Tuesday's match, the Bulldogs will play Binghamton this Saturday.
