Quote From Head Coach Ruben Resendes:
"Credit to Merrimack, they're a very tactical team. They switched to a back four for today's game after playing with three defenders the first few matches and that caught us off guard. We weren't aggressive enough attacking the box in the first half. In the second half we added an extra attacking player and the boys were resilient in trying to score. I'm so happy for Jaiden, he's one of the hardest working guys on our team and thrilled he was able to be the hero tonight. Also Antreas made a couple huge saves to keep the game scoreless in key moments."
Key Moments:
- Jaiden Willems scored his first goal as a Bulldog in the 76th minute of match, catching the Merrimack goalie off guard with a high left shot to the net.
- Antreas Hadjigavriel made a diving save in the second half as the Warriors forward rifled it to the left side of the goal.
Game Notes:
- The Bulldogs took a total of fifteen shots with five shots on goal, the most shots taken this season.
- Bryant is 7-4-0 all-time vs. Merrimack.
- Bryant's Oscar Sears picked up a yellow card in the second half.
- Jonas Lyshoj earned the assist of Willems game winning goal.
- Bryant collects its first home win of the season, previously tying against UMass last time they played here at Beirne Stadium.
