From the desk of head coach Ruben Resendes:
Resendes on this year's goal as a team:
"Our goal competitively every season is always the same, we want to play as much soccer as we possibly can."
Â
Resendes on this year's team:
"We have another great group of guys this year both on and off the field. Based on the college soccer structure and how it works, I always believe anything is possible regardless if you're a favorite or an underdog."Â
Â
Resendes on this year's expectations:
"I think the dream of any college soccer team at all levels is to keep your group together as long as possible by going as far as you can and play into and through November. That'll be our goal until the very end, and I know we have a group of guys committed to doing whatever it takes to play as much soccer as they can together."Â
Â
Resendes on rebuilding and new growth:
"We lost some very key pieces to the team last season, no one can deny that. That being said we also have a good core group of guys returning who played significant roles last season and we also feel we have players who have really developed over the spring and will play larger roles this year than they did last season which is what the off season is all about."Â
Â
Resendes on this year's newcomers:
"We're also very excited about our recruiting class of 14 new players. We feel that we have a deep team with a lot of good options that are very similar in level. More importantly, the guys are really getting along with each other, and they want to see each other succeed in the pitch, and that's important. It's fun to watch the group grow closer together day by day."
