Trott, Whiting, and Slaney shine in historic performance at NCAA Northeast Regional

HOPKINTON, N.H.- The women's cross country team would record their best team finish in program history, placing 22nd overall at the 2024 America East Cross Country Championships. The men's team would also have a good performance; finishing 30th as a group.

The women's race would see junior Jasmine Trott record Bryant's best program finish in an NCAA Regional Championship placing 25th overall in the women's 6k with a time of 20:31.45. Trott's performance would earn her All-Region honors by the NCAA. Chloe Whiting would also have an outstanding race as she would finish in 36th place with a time of 20:51.80. Trott and Whiting would become the first Bulldog duo to place inside the Top 50 at an NCAA Regional Meet.

Another remarkable finish came from graduate student Shelby DeGrenier. In her first collegiate cross country season, the converted mid-distance specialist would work her way through the ranks and concluded her campaign as the Bulldogs third best runner at regionals. DeGrenier would place 185th against the field with a time of 22:57.89.

On the men's side, Ryan Slaney would continue his dominant senior season by placing 30th overall in the 10k with a time 30:44.27. Slaney's performance would also have historic precedent; being the best program finish for a men's runner at an NCAA Regional race.
