ROME, GA. – Natalia Vela and Caitlyn Munson represented both Bryant and the Ohio Valley Conference this past weekend in Georgia at the ITA Masters Conference Championship. 

The duo was selected by the OVC to participate in the open doubles main draw.

In the round of 32 Vela and Munson defeated Ana Paula Naranjo Martinez Kobash and Mariana Manyoma Velasquez from the University of Tulsa 1-6, 7(7)-6(5), [10]-[8] in an upset win. Tulsa was seeded 5-8 going into the match. 

Following their first round win, the duo played against Irene Riva and Madelyn Ferreros of Sacramento State University in the round of 16. Riva and Ferreros took down Bryant 5-7, 6-4, [10]-[4].

This was the Bulldogs final showing for the fall. They will be back in action January 26th at their home match against Boston University.
