Women's Tennis faces Duke Friday evening

SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- The Bryant University women's tennis team will face eighth-seeded Duke in the NCAA Women's Tennis Championships First Round on Friday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. EST.

Bulldog Notes and Notables

  • The Bulldogs won their first Ohio Valley Conference Championship with a 4-2 win over Southeast Missouri State University. 

  • The Black and Gold defeated second-seeded Western Illinois in the semifinals and then knocked off top-seeded FDU in the final. 

  • Bryant will be making its eighth NCAA Tournament appearance in program history. 

  • The Black and Gold won three All-OVC awards, with Yahli Noy and Natalia Vela being named to the All-OVC First Team as well as Vela and Maria Jose Hernandez Diaz earning a spot on the All-Conference Doubles Team.

  • Bryant's other two NCAA Tournament appearances at the DI level came in 2015 against No. 3 Cal and in 2022 against No. 2 Oklahoma.
