WOMEN’S TENNIS TO FACE AUBURN IN NCAA TOURNAMENT

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant women's tennis team earned an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament and will face the No. 2 seed Auburn in the First Round.

The Bulldogs are making their second consecutive NCAA tournament appearance. This will mark Bryant's tenth tournament appearance and fourth at the Division I level, led by head coach Barbara Cilli. The Bulldogs faced Duke last season in the First Round, falling 4-0.

Bryant enters the tournament with a 17-7 record. They won their second straight OVC championship last weekend, going 3-0 against Tennessee State, SEMO, and SIUE to capture the title. They've won the conference title in both seasons as an affiliate member.

The Auburn Tigers are the SEC champions, going 32-3 and 13-2 in conference play. They're a perfect 19-0 at home this season. They've won six matches in a row entering the NCAA tournament.
