COACH BURKE'S COMMENTS
"I thought it was a hard-fought road battle with a lot of the line for both teams," Bryant head coach Mary Burke said. "We came out to start the game on a great note, defending and rebounding which established us a good lead. At this time of the year, these battles are expected with prideful teams playing for positions in the postseason. It was gut-check time for us and we did all the things we needed to get it done.
"Masey played 35 minutes and had a huge last two minutes with a big rebound and midrange jumper to put us up. She was our player of the game."
KEY MOMENTS
- In a tie game with the clock winding down, Zegarowski created space for herself and hit a jumper to give the Bulldogs a two-point lead with less than 10 seconds left.
- After two timeouts, Bryant forced a turnover on the ensuing inbounds play and was able to keep the ball out of Mount's hands to secure the victory.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Thanks in part to a 10- run to start the game, Bryant carried a six-point lead into the second quarter. Sophomore Sydney Holloway (Morgantown, W.Va.) scored nine of her team-high 20 points in the opening frame.
- Mount scraped back and took a 39-36 lead into the half, holding the Bulldogs to just 14 second-quarter points. Freshman Hannah Scanlan (Rumson, N.J.) scored six-straight Bulldog points to head into the half.
- The Bulldogs fought back and held Mount to just nine points in the third quarter, five from Katrice Dickson. Bryant doubled up and scored 18 points in the quarter.
- Holloway scored seven points in the final quarter, including a free throw with less than a second left to ice the game. Zegarowski's basket preceded and gave Bryant the lead after Mount tied the game with 1:19 remaining in the quarter.

- Junior Kierra Palmer (Aberdeen, Md.) scored 11 points for the Bulldogs, including a game-tying 3-pointer at the start of the second half. She also finished with a game-high 6 assists.
