BRYANT TIES AIC, 1-1, IN EXHIBITION GAME SUNDAY
The Bryant men's soccer team and American International played
to a 1-1 draw in Smithfield, Rhode Island on Sunday, Aug. 17.
Junior forward Matthew Brown (South Easton, Mass.)
got the scoring started in the 10th minute of play on an
assist from sophomore midfielder Sean Kaukas (Glatonbury,
Conn.) to stake the Bulldogs to a 1-0 lead. AIC would
respond late in the game as junior midfielder Theo Abbey
(Brooklyn, N.Y.) put one home in the 76th
minute to tie the game at 1-1. Neither team threatened the rest of
the match, ending the game with the score even.
Bryant will travel to University of Rhode Island on Tuesday for
its final preseason tune-up (7 p.m.).
