ROMEOVILLE, Illinois - The Bryant University women's volleyball
team fell to 0-4 on the season after falling to Wisconsin-Parkside
and host Lewis University by 3-0 scores.
In the first match of the day, the Bulldogs fell to
Wisconsin-Parkside 30-19, 30-17, 30-30-24 as the Bulldogs struggled
offensively, hitting just .074 for the match. Freshman Adrienne
Boss (Dracut, Mass.) paced the Bulldogs with a solid eight kills on
14 swings while sophomore Morgan Wood (Cedar Park, TX) and Monika
Sattler (Gruenwald, Germany) chipped in with seven and six kills
apiece.
Wisconsin-Parkside hit a solid .289 but found its strength at
the net, finishing with 15 blocks and 55 defensive digs. The
Bulldogs were limited to just one Likicia Grceva (Natick, Mass.)
solo block as the senior finished with four kills on the night.
Fellow senior Tiffany Garry (Frankfort, Ill.) had 22
assists. Garry was named to the Festival's All-Tournament
team.
In the second match, the Bulldogs fell to the host Flyers,
30-13, 30-18, 30-16 as the Bulldogs were paced by Grceva's five
kills and Robyn Gardner's (Longwood, Fla.) 10 digs defensively.
The team will return to New England this week to open
Northeast-10 Conference play Wednesday at American International (7
pm) in Springfield, Mass. before heading off to the Bentley
Invitational next weekend.
