BOX SCORE

OAKDALE, NY - The Bryant University women's volleyball team is headed back to the NCAA Regional Final once again thanks to a 3-1 win over third-seed University of New Haven Friday evening.  The Bulldogs won 30-26, 30-24, 26-30, 30-21.  The Bulldogs will face top-seed Dowling, a 3-0 winner over Bentley, in the regional final on Saturday evening at 7 pm.

Against the Chargers, a team the Bulldogs split with during the regular season, falling 3-0 in Waltham, Mass. and winning 3-0 in Smithfield, Bryant continued its late season surge with another strong performance all around.  Senior Likica Grceva (Natick, Mass.) led the way with 17 kills and 17 digs while sophomore Julie Geonnotti (St. Louis Park, Minn.) added 15  kills.

The Bulldogs hit .277 for the match and held New Haven's tough middle hitter Anicia Wood to just .189 hitting.  Wood had a match-high 20 kills but had 10 errors on 53 swings in the match and just one block.

Grceva, the MVP of the Northeast-10 Conference tournament, won by the Bulldogs, hit a solid .350 in the match and added three of Bryant's seven service aces.  Sophomore Morgan Wood (Cedar Park, TX) and freshman Adrienne Boss (Dracut, Mass.) each had 11 kills while freshman Miranda Kolb (Holt, Mich.) added 10.

Bryant, making its 10th NCAA appearance, will now advance to the regional finals Saturday night. This will be the third trip to the regional final (Sweet Sixteen) and the first for the Bulldogs since 2003 when the Bulldogs fell to host Queens.

The winner of Saturday's regional final will advance to the Elite Eight November 29 through December 1 at a site to be determined.
