PLEASANTVILLE, NY - The Bryant University women's
volleyball team erased an 0-2 deficit by winning the next three
games and held on for a thrilling 3-2 win at Pace University
Saturday afternoon. The Bulldogs, with the win, stay
undefeated in conference play heading into Tuesday's match at
Assumption.
The Setters came out strong taking the first two games 30-24 and
30-28, but the Bulldogs would fight back taking the next three
games 30-19, 30-28 and 17-15 for the victory.
Leading the comeback for the Bulldogs was senior Likica Grceva
(Natick, MA) who recorded a game-high 27 kills, to go along with 17
digs. Freshman Adrienne Boss (Dracut, MA) chipped in with 12 kills,
while senior Tiffany Garry (Frankfort, IL) set up the attack with a
team-high 59 assists, while adding 13 digs and five block assists.
Junior Maureen Atkins (Fenton, MO) led all Bulldogs with 21
digs. Miranda Kolb (Holt, MI) and Delia Glover (Marston Mills, MA)
finished with 10 and 16 digs respectively.
Junior Korena Johnson led the Setters attack recording a
team-high 25 kills, to go along with 14 digs and four block
assists. Classmate Danielle Furka also posted a double-double with
12 kills and a game-best 22 digs. Freshman Sianna Johnson was
strong in the front of the net with 19 kills and three block
assists. Senior Ashley D'Agostini (San Diego, CA/Torrey Pines)
finished with a game-high 64 assists and 15 digs.
