NEW YORK TECH 3-1
@ Smithfield, RI
Bryant 3, NYIT 1
Game Scores: 30-19, 26-30, 30-14, 40-21

SMITHFIELD, RI - Senior outside hitter Likica
Grceva (Natick, Mass.) had 21 kills and added eight digs
to lead the Bryant University women's volleyball team to a 3-1 win
over New York Institute of Technology on Friday evening. The
win, Bryant's fifth in a row, is the Bulldogs 20th win of the
season, marking the 11th-straight 20-win season for Bryant
volleyball.
Bryant (20-11), coming off an emotional five-game win over
Bentley Wednesday night, show little effects early, winning the
first game 30-19. But the Bears would rally as Daria Skrypka
(team high 14 kills) and Shelby Klein (11 kills) led a strong
second game charge by the visitors as NYIT would hold on for a
30-26 win.
But the Bulldogs were too tough tonight as Julie
Geonnotti (St. Louis Park, Minn.) and freshman standout
Adrienne Boss (Dracut, Mass.) came up with timely
kills and Tiffany Garry (Frankfort, Ill.) kept the
Bryant offense running with 47 assists and five of the Bulldogs' 14
service aces. Geonnotti had 14 kills and while Boss had
10 kills.
The Bulldogs will host Georgian Court on Saturday at 4 pm and
Dowling at 6 pm at the Chace Athletic Center.
