BRYANT VOLLEYBALL HOLDS ON FOR 3-2 WIN AT SAINT ROSE

ALBANY, NY - The Bryant University women's volleyball team
picked up a thrilling 3-2 win on the road at Saint Rose Saturday
afternoon. Game scores were 24-30, 30-25, 30-24, 26-30,
15-13. The win keeps the Bulldogs undefeated in conference
play at 8-0 (17-11 overall) heading into Sunday's conference match
at Le Moyne.
Bryant rallied back after dropping the first game, 30-24 to win
the second 30-25 and took a two games to one advantage with a 30-24
win in the third. But Saint Rose, behind the play of
Stephanie Brink (19 kills) rallied back to force a fifth game by
winning the fourth 30-26. But Bryant held the Golden Knights
to minus .130 hitting in the fifth to pull out a 15-13 win.
Likica Grceva (Natick, Mass.) and Julie Geonnotti (St. Louis
Park, Minn.) each had 16 kills in the game to lead the Bulldogs
while Tiffany Garry (Frankfort, Ill) chalked up 51 assists.
The Bulldogs used strong serving once again to set the tone as the
team racked up 14 aces in the match. Sophomore middle Morgan
Wood (Cedar Park, Tex) had a solid match, hitting .312 with 13
kills and adding six blocks.
The Bulldogs travel to Le Moyne on Sunday before hosting Bentley
in a showdown of the top two conference teams this Wednesday.
