BRYANT WOMEN'S TENNIS DEFEATS SAINT MICHAEL'S 6-3

- The Bryant women's tennis team picked up a
6-3 win over visiting Saint Michael's College in a Northeast-10
Conference match Saturday at the Bryant Tennis Complex.
Bryant opened strong with three wins in doubles play and withstood
a strong charge from the Purple Knights to win three more matches
in singles play to earn the win.
Sacha Solomon (Bourne, Mass.) won in
straight-sets over Cara Bednar at No. 1 singles and opened the
match with a win at No. 1 doubles, teaming with Annette
Jervasi (Colchester, Conn.) to win 8-3.
Kristin Swanson (West Newbury, Mass.) played well
at No. 4 singles, earning a win over Liz Clemente, 6-2, 6-4.
Bryant will step out of conference play Sunday when the Lions of
Dowling College visit for an 11 a.m. match at the Tennis Complex on
campus.
