Volleyball Earns 3-0 Win Over Southern NH

MANCHESTER, N.H. - Junior Likica Grceva (Natick,
MA) totaled 14 kills and 11 digs to lead to lead Bryant
University to a 3-0 victory over Southern New Hampshire University
here tonight in Northeast-10 Conference women's volleyball action.
Bryant has now won six of its last seven matches and improved to
12-9 overall and 4-0 in the league. The host Penmen dropped to 6-6
overall and 1-3 in the NE-10.
Game one was tied at 20-20 when the Bulldogs closed out the game
with a 10-3 run for a 30-23 victory. The Bulldogs took game two
30-20, and completed the sweep with a 30-26 victory in game three.
Senior Jess Cegarra (Danville, NH) helped the
Bryant cause with 10 kills and four block assists, while junior
Tiffany Garry (Frankfort, IL) added 33 assists, 10
digs and two aces.
Sophomore Brianna Doucet (Danville, NH) paced
the Penmen with six kills and 15 digs, while classmate
Jamie Rood (Southbury, CT) added 11 digs and three
blocks. Junior Brooke LeFort (Cumberland, RI)
chipped in five kills and four blocks for the hosts, while senior
Colleen Eddy (Dracut, MA) chipped in a team-high
18 digs. Junior Kelly Scanlon (East Providence,
RI) handed out 12 assists, while sophomore Nicky
Dumond (Tewksbury, MA) added 11 assists.
Bryant travels to the University of New Haven for a non-league
match Thursday at 7 p.m.
