BRYANT VOLLEYBALL FALLS TO #8 FLORIDA SOUTHERN
3-0
SMITHFIELD, RI - Bryant senior
Jessica Cegarra (Danville, NH) hit .375 with 12 kills on 24 swings
but it was not enough as eighth-ranked Florida Southern rolled to a
3-0 win over the Bulldogs. Game scores were 30-22, 30-21,
30-25. Bryant falls to 16-17 overall on the year while
Florida Southern is now 26-3 following the Moccasins' 3-1 win over
Dowling College this afternoon.
Bryant hit well, finishing at .223 for the match as Vanessa
Lavallee (Gilford, NH) and Julie Geonnotti (St. Louis Park, MN)
each had nine kills on the day. The best game of the morning
was in the opener when Bryant hit .355 and kept the match
close. But Florida Southern proved too tough up front as
Bevery Stasis and Ashley Martin finished with 13 and 10 kills
respectively.
Bryant will return to action Wednesday with a conference match
at Franklin Pierce while Florida Southern will visit Bentley to
conclude its trip through the Northeast.
