Bryant Volleyball Defeats Southern
N.H., 3-0
SMITHFIELD, RI – Bryant University senior all-American
Michelle Muniz (Guaynabo,
P.R.) tallied a game-high 18 kills and added 10 digs to
help lead the Bryant University women's volleyball team to a
3-0 win over Southern N.H. Tuesday night at the Chace Athletic
Center. Game scores were 30-16, 30-17, 30-24. Bryant
has now won 32-straight conference regular-season matches dating
back to the 2002 season.
Junior Jessica Cegarra
(Danville,
NH) had 12 kills on 22 swings for
the night, finishing with a hitting percentage of .455. The
Bulldogs had 14 service aces in the match and hit .264
offensively.
Muniz (right) now has 1,971 career kills and needs only 75 kills to
pass former standout Maria Bras for the all-time Bryant career
kills record which stands at 2,045 by Bras.
Bryant will travel to Dowling College this weekend for a pair of
matches. On Saturday, the Bulldogs will face the Golden Lions at 11
a.m. and Millersville at 1 p.m.
