Muniz Leads Bulldogs To Pair of Wins Friday

SMITHFIELD, RI –   Michelle Muniz (Guaynabo, P.R.) had 17 kills and Jessica Cegarra added 12 kills to lead the Bryant women's volleyball team to a 3-0 win over Stonehill College in the first of two matches Friday.  Cegarra hit .667 for the match while Bryant served up 17 service aces in the match with freshman Maureen Atkins (Fenton, MO) tallying a career-high eight.  Doree Blanco (Warwick, RI) had 11 kills for the Skyhawks.
In the second match, Bryant defeated Bridgeport 3-1 with Muniz accounting for 24 kills and Cegarra adding 18.  Julie Hafemann  and Jessica Bornack each had 12 kills for the Purple Knights while Mary Charissis had 10.
