Bryant Volleyball Opens 2005 Season With Pair of Losses

LAKELAND, FL - The Bryant volleyball team opened its 2005 season Friday night at the Florida Southern Volleyball Tournament.  After weathering a powerfailure during the tournament, the Bulldogs dropped a pair of matches to North Alabama and Eckerd.  Bryant will face Rollins and Florida Southern Saturday.

Against North Alabama in the opener, the 15th-ranked Lions hit .301 for the match in winning 3-0. Game scores were 30-24, 30-20, 30-16.  Michelle Muniz paced the Bulldogs with 10 kills and eight digs while Jessica Cegarra and Lindsey Klix each had eight kills.  Bryant hit .149 for the match.

In the late match, the Bulldogs fell to Eckerd College, 3-1.  Scores were 30-23, 25-30, 30-20, 30-23.
