Bryant Volleyball Defeats

SMITHFIELD, RI – Junior Jessica Cegarra (Danville,
NH) had 14 kills and five blocks to help lead the Bryant
University women's volleyball team to a 3-0 win over visiting
Merrimack College Tuesday evening at the Chace Athletic
Center. Game scores in the match were: 30-22, 30-23,
30-13.
With the win, the Bulldogs stretch their regular-season conference
win streak to 34 matches dating back to the 2002 season.
Bryant (12-7, 6-0 NE-10) got 13 kills from senior all-American
Michelle Muniz (Guaynabo, P.R.)
who crept closer to becoming Bryant's all-time career kills
leader. Muniz, with 2,020 kills, needs just 25 kills to tie
Maria Bras' career record of 2,045 career kills.
Tiffany Garry
(Frankfort,
IL) had 41 assists while Bryant
served up 13 total aces on the evening with Muniz and freshman
Maureen Atkins
(Fenton,
MO) each finishing with
four. Ale Kuncaitis had seven kills to lead the
Warriors (7-9, 5-3 NE-10).
