CEGARRA AND KLIX LEAD BULLDOGS PAST RAVENS
SMITHFIELD, RI – Bryant University junior
Jessica Cegarra (Danville, N.H.) tallied 17 kills
and added a pair of blocks to help lead the Bulldog volleyball team
to a 3-0 win over visiting Franklin Pierce Tuesday evening at the
Chace Athletic Center.
The win was Bryant's 20th of the season as the
Bulldogs improve to 20-8 overall (10-1 in the NE-10), marking the
eight-straight season with 20 wins.
Senior Lindsay Klix (Rochester
Hills,
Mich.) matched a season-high with
13 kills on 20 swings and added two blocks while junior
Beth Schlatterer (Arlington
Heights,
Ill.) added 11 kills and two
blocks for the Bulldogs.
Game scores were 30-18, 30-28, 30-22 . Senior
all-American Michelle Muniz
(Guaynabo, PR) had six
kills and 12 digs defensively while freshmen Maureen Atkins
(Fenton,
MO) and Delia Glover
(Marston Mills, Mass.)
combined for 30 digs with Atkins picking up 17 and Glover chipping
in with 13.
Bryant will host New Haven Wednesday night for a non-conference
match starting at 7 pm.
